After the Rain....

We had a heavy shower of rain during the night. It left our world all freshly washed with tiny jewels of raindrops on all the grasses. Part of the edge of the track where Maisie and I walked early this morning is shoulder high in weeds, all glistening in the early sunlight and extremely wet from the rain. Luckily I was wearing gumboots but my track pants and jacket became soaked. However I and Maisie, who was soaking wet too, soon dried off and enjoyed a mild sunny day.
