Transform Healthcare Cambodia

This is a U.K. Charity devoted to helping support local healthcare staff in a province in Cambodia.
At the end of the genocidal Pol Pot regime the country’s healthcare system was totally destroyed with only ten doctors left in the country.

The Arnside Stitch in Time / Days for Girls Group produces reusable menstrual kits which allow girls in that country to continue to attend school during their monthly period.

In addition the knitting members of the group produce caps and sweaters for small children to help them through the cold weather.

These are taken to Cambodia by a member of the Charity who regularly visits the country to give support to health workers there.

So much work. Of this kind goes on unbeknown to many people. Every little helps.
