River Wharfe
Lunch out. (Again for me! )
We met MrC’s brother and his wife at Hamilton’s cafe, in Addingham. Tucked away down a narrow lane, and right by the river.
What a wonderful view, and a beautiful log cabin style building. I think it is fairly new, and is owned by the adjacent holiday park. ( don’t let that put you off) see map. See extra of one of the holiday log cabins.
They are only open from 9am to 4pm for breakfast and lunch.
Not a lot on the menu, and so we all had pie off the day, which was steak and ale.
I wouldn’t say the food was anything remarkable. May be better for breakfast, or just coffee and cake, but the place itself is fabulous, and we will definitely go again.
Will be great in summer sat outside overlooking the river.
As we were passing through Ilkley, on the way there, we called into Majestic to have a look round. They always have some very good wines, and so we stocked up with a few for Christmas, although I have a feeling they may not last that long!
I thought I would tag this for Wide Wednesday.
Today’s challenge is “ moving/ movement “.
Well the river was certainly moving. The water was quite high. You can just see the weir in the distance.
Many thanks to BobsBlips for once again hosting.
