Oliver Messel Said To Snowdon, "Look Up"

I took Ollie dog out in the car for the first time in a while and met my daughter and Frankie dog. The hounds kissed in greeting. We enjoyed a pleasant short walk. The lake was frozen over and a female mallard was struggling to decide whether to walk on it or swim through it. A gull took off and showered her with shards of ice.

Back home Jack heron took exception to us walking around the lake. He launched with a sharp cry of, "Jack" and then flew round and round many times, squawking gutturally and constantly.

 I spotted the grey squirrel in the south-western corner of our field.

I love the bright yellow Agusta Westland AW139 helicopter. It flew over our property twice. It belongs to  Noordzee Helikopters Vlaanderen Ltd, Norwich (UK) and has been operating over the North Sea today.
