It’s bright and frosty outside, but the office is warm and stuffy, with blinds drawn against the slanting winter sun. The training goes well - lots of insights and good discussions. And a visit to the new Japanese restaurant across the roundabout for lunch.

After work Joan, Christoph, Vincent and I go to a specialist beer venue for a drink and a work discussion. Christoph heads off to celebrate his girlfriend’s birthday, while the rest of us head round the corner to L’étal à la Table. I have a mini pumpkin stuffed with mushrooms, which goes nicely with some local Jura wine.

Vincent has a coffee to finish, but I opt for Macvin - a local fortified wine. It’s chilled, sweet, with a strong, almost nutty flavour. And then home.
