The Mythical Mountain 1/3

Back blipped as the connectivity at Lake Tekapo was not good.

We drove up to Lake Tekapo, more in hope than expectation of seeing Aoraki - the weather on the journey was dire, but by the late afternoon it had improved enough for a walk along the shore of the lake where a major building project is underway for a new outflow into the hydro electric scheme.  I'm assuming this is one of the existing outflows with the lake level lower than usual. 

The water really is that turquoise colour - due to the glacial flows and the minerals they put into the lakes.

The mythical marketing mountain is somewhere up in those clouds :-)
