Just recording the fact that we had a trip down to Ambleside today instead of our usual Carliisle garden centre day.

Headed straight for the cafe! Had a leisurely look around the Christmas decorations. Managed not to be tempted by polar bears or unicorns. I wonder what most of what we see has to do with Christmas and why we should decorate our homes with it. Hayes do work hard at their display and it's always worth a vist .

Having said that, I bought good crackers for the visitors to the lodge and a pair of baubles for The Daughters. I have donethat as a tradition for 10 years.
