AN APPLE A DAY
A nice quiet morning photo filing again. Then this afternoon a trip into Grange, a walk around the pond and up Main Road, past Hazlemere, the Community Orchard (see photograph which includes apple trees) and up to the Grange Institute for our U3A Digital Photography group.
Apart from one lady walking her dog I was the only person in the Ornamental Gardens and round the pond, I've never been the only person there before. There were quite a few ducks on the pond again which is good to see. Hope the CCTV is now in operation as was promised when we kept getting the ducks pinched. Sadly though there are far too many seagulls too and they are a nuisance. I was stood at the far end of the tree by my favourite tree in the winter months and they swooped all around me (see extra), obviously thinking I was going to feed them. I WILL NOT FEED SEAGULLS. Sadly I've seen quite a few people with their grandchildren feeding the gulls so it just encourages them. I don't know why the gulls have go so prolific now, it's got a lot worse since we first moved here just 4 years ago. Some years ago my Dad used to bring his grandchildren (my nephews and nieces) on a train ride over to Grange specially to fee the ducks and it was mostly ducks and some geese then.!!!
Good session, it was a revision of the Exposure Triangle, white balance and winter photography.
Then back home to catch up on blip and settle in for a nice cosy evening in front of the fire. Boy was it cold out there this afternoon.
