Shirley Poppy

sheltered from the wind.  The extra is a flower from the Rewarewa tree, a NZ native.  A lot of these unusual looking flowers scattered on the walking path of the track around Lake Tikitapu in the last couple of weeks.  The Rewarewa tree grows to about 30metres tall  The ones we could see appeared to be between 10 - 20 metres tall.
