From ice to jellyfish
Our frost covered giant Himalayan lilies, or cardiocrinum giganteum, standing at over 6ft, give a spooky feel to the herbaceous border.
I always think there is something dystopian about them at this time of the year.
Talking of which the new exhibition at the Royal Academy focuses on climate change.
They have installed fifty live jellyfish as a warning of what’s to come. Apparently after humans cease to exist as a result of rising warming temperatures, jellyfish will not only survive, they will inherit the earth.
