I am somebody

Today Teressa Raiford's Don't Shoot Portland organization held a community art project at the Portland Art Museum. Each person made a screenprinted sign from a variety of stencils, and at this point in the proceedings they stood with their signs under the gun violence star banners made by Hank Willis Thomas while an Indigenous family mourned their brother/husband/father who died in gun violence. 

I have so many photos I will be processing them for days, but I chose this one for the wonderful faces in it. I was also able to get portraits of two remarkable local artists who both appear in the main blip (Extras).
