Aurora...possibly

ok...admission time.

I am crap at taking night time pics. Looking out of the window, over Dunnet Head towards Orkney, I saw that the sky was red (this was taken at ten to midnight) and towards the East, inland it was a greeny blue.

So I tried to take a photo....as the colours were undulating Im pretty sure it was the aurora.

Like I say though, Im rubbish. I took one photo and all I got were the pinlights of the town twinkling...the second photo had the colour but the lights were slightly wavy. As this is how I saw the lights in the sky, I've merged the two photos and removed the wavy lights.

One day I'll figure out how to take the picture properly!
