Snowdrops

We've had a bit of a trying day today. A cold, grey start, even a few flurries of snow which turned to rain as evening set in.

MrD finished off installing the new radiator in the big bedroom, turned the system on: nothing! Hours later, he has tried everything and we are without heating and hot water for the rest of the day. A friend of his is coming here first thing tomorrow morning to see if he can get everything working again.

I had an hour or so of pottering again in the garden - the snowdrops are very slow this year! I spotted a female bullfinch on the beech bush and a female black cap eating the mahonia flowers along with the blue tits and dunnock.

PS we are sitting in front of a roaring fire so nice & cozy! Thank you for words of sympathy re. lack of heating x
