When the husband's away ...

... you may as well use the Saturday night alone to write your Christmas cards. I realise time is going to be against me this year so I have written them all (almost) and put them back in the cupboard.

Writing cards always reminds me of my grandma. She was blind and every year I would write the cards with her whilst she added her name with an ink stamp - once I had placed her in the right position on the card. I could have easily done all her cards in a quarter of the time but we would spend hours together talking about the people she was sending them to. Happy times.
