towering over the city

Forced the hub to do a lovely long walk of discovery with me and the dog to a park I heard about often but had not yet visited. We even managed
to find a geocache too! In all a v. pleasant stroll.

The blip is of the Sauvabelin Tower.

The Union of Societies for the Development of Lausanne (USDL) decided to mark the entry inside the third millennium with the construction of the Sauvabelin Tower. This tower built in local massive wood with an environmentally friendly approach allows everybody to watch the wonderful panoramic view above Lausanne. The 302 steps of the Sauvabelin tower are sponsored by many local companies and will allow you to access safely the panoramic platform after an invigorating effort. The Sauvabelin Tower opened to the public on the 15th December 2003
