Rowing and snowing.....

.... today. A working day but need some exercise.

We got down to the sand but found ourselves one person short. We waited but in the end decided to go out as a four and row a bit.

A broken oar the day before meant we couldn't use the fixed pin set so we were forced to use the free oars which have leather cuffs and sit between the pin and cabe to reduce wear and sloppiness. Quite challenging I found - very hard on the wrist and also our oar lengths were a bit odd. Add to that no cox - we removed the rudder - and we ended up going round in wide circles..... Four men in a boat. Going round in circles with no direction. In the snow in Winter. In Scotland on a Sunday morning...... You wouldn't make it up....
