Ansel Adams

My trip across the river started off with an arrest on the platform of Greenwich station. About ten boys from the Met, seven squad cars and one puny perp. How exciting!

The Ansel Adams exhibition at the National Maritime Museum is a wonder. A collection of rarely seen images, with water as a broad theme (unsurprising given the museum housing this exhibition!) accompanied by a couple of short films where the photographer talks about the exciting advent of the "electronic image". This film was made in 1983, a year before he passed away.

As I was in the area, I stopped by White Cube in Bermondsey to see Anthony Gormley's 'Model'. Critics' reviews have been largely very favourable but I do wonder if sometimes it is a case of the emperor's new clothes. I though it was pants myself but that is just my view, and I do know sod all about modern art!

So ... today's blip is from The Ansel Adams gig ... in b&w of course :)
