Across the Tyne
MrM's two pupils - D&K, learning to play fiddle and mandolin - were quite late this morning, mainly due to the awful weather conditions. They travel a long way for their lessons. By the time they'd left, and we'd had a quick bite to eat, it was mid afternoon, so it was much later than we'd hoped when MrM and I set off for Newcastle. Got there just in time to dash round a couple of shops before going down to the Sage, in Gateshead.
We met with Rena and Frank for drink and chat before the Steve Hackett Genesis Revisited concert. And what a concert - absolutely brilliant! R&F had managed to get great seats on the front row at the very top - such a luxury, for those of us who are vertically challenged, to be able to see everything on stage! (Though looking down on the audience did highlight how irritating other people's mobile phones can be - half of them seemed to be snapping away rather than enjoying the live music and the spectacle on stage!)
Anyway, here you have the view across the Tyne from outside the Sage, taken in the rain.
