Restored and Remembered

Earlier in the year I had the sad duty of reporting the vandalism of this Canal side memorial. We have a very special man locally who tends and marks the anniversaries of aircrews in the area, many of which are Commonwealth airmen so have no relatives to attend them. 
I have not been passed site for a while so was pleased to see that it had been restored in time for remembrance this year, and in a form that carries no scrap value. A close up of the plaque in extras.
