Old dog

We aren’t sure if it’s old dog vestibular syndrome or a series of strokes but, either way, she’s been less mobile than usual this past few weeks. Can’t walk in a straight line anymore, can’t even step down from the deck into the garden and keeps falling over.

However, today was a good day, so we took her for a gentle stroll. She enjoyed herself but started toiling on the way home. Once back she lay down, fell asleep but made a short yip and tried to get up but was all over the place, needed holding for a while so she didn’t fall over.

Not necessarily the end but possibly the beginning of the end.

In other news, Ruby had a better night and has managed to keep some water down. I will drive Eve into college tomorrow then check in on Ruby I think.
