I'm Watching You
I took a much needed walk around my estate this afternoon with just the camera with long lens fitted. The deciduous trees, such as beech, are still hanging on to their leaves, which were glowing in the damp conditions.
On my walk I spotted a fungi which I hadn't seen before on a fallen tree trunk (extra). Initially I thought it was peeling bark, but a quick search back home indicated it was Serpula Himantiodes, a wild form of Dry Rot!
I also spotted a number of squirrels foraging in the damp leaves. Most fled up to the top of a tree and away on spotting me. This one however stopped and stared back at me - I think it was waiting to ensure its younger companion "escaped" first!
