A rather large juvenile starling

Well I think that's what's sitting on top of my rhododendron bush. The markings on the chest look right but the feathers still lack the iridescent sheen that make the adult birds so recognisable.

Concert tonight so I have to dress myself in black and no bling - not my  choice but I have no choice.  Hope I will be back in time and not too tired to look at your journals.
