Octagonal
Our usual patch for playing football is very soft, indeed boggy underfoot at this time of year, so we headed to Lister Park where the all weather courts offer firmer terrain.
12yo was hoping to try out her new football, but unfortunately managed to snap off the needle of the adaptor inside the ball and break the valve at the same time, so that's one birthday present that hasn't fulfilled its potential. She did get to try out her new goalie gloves though, and we spent a couple of good active hours before ambling through the rest of the park.
The octagonal bandstand was built in 1908 and is still used for performances during the summer months.
