Portraits and more
A rare Sunday afternoon jaunt to town with Mrs AB. First to the SNPG to see Scotland's Photograph Album, very popular, but nothing extra special. Take a pair of binoculars - not surprisingly, due to their antiquity many of the prints are tiny so you have to get up close to appreciate them, spoiling the view of the other visitors.
Next to the CAC to view the Classical Edinburgh photography exhibition - much better, lots of interesting and well composed images. I'm not sure why they hadn't displayed them side-by-side as it was sometimes slightly confusing comparing the images across the floor of the gallery.
The box canvas competition images were very good, especially the two of Circus Lane in snow and evening light respectively.
