Christmas singing
We went to Royal Parade in Chislehurst to hear Ella, my granddaughter, sing in Rock Choir.
She participates in charity events most weeks and enjoys being outdoors and singing with a happy group of people.
Among other songs, they sang This is Me from the Greatest Showman, and we were all encouraged to join in with this inspirational song.
This afternoon's event was the Christmas Lights Switch on. There were lots of stalls and rides for children and all the restaurants and cafes were open.
The Bull pub brought out big platters of sandwiches and mince pies for the choir.
The pub was packed out with revelers and we gave it a miss as there was nowhere to sit .
We returned home and had our first mince pies of the season. They were sloe gin specials and very tasty.
The Christmas season has begun.
