Not a speck of blue
and the sea was hurling up pebbles onto the promenade so I took off to the tangled wood of yesterday where gorse was in bloom, (yes, I know the kissing season is year round!) the paths were lined with lichen branches, holly and other berries glistened with rain drops, dead men's fingers pointed up from the leaf litter and a gaggle of Canada geese flew over. The rain penetrated right down to the skin and my friend's radiators are now steaming...
