Was thinking about this umbrella as I wandered along. It’s one of three that live in the car. It was my mum’s, dead 20+ years. She bought it in the ICI factory shop, (she worked in an office), back in the 1970s. A solid wooden handle and aluminium shaft with fairly rigid elements - it’s sturdy and has withstood many a blast of wind on the rugby touch line and out walking.
