a kindness...

...was done to me

i so wasn’t expecting it - was shocked when it happened - for things like this - just seem so rare anymore - in the world today - but scripture does say

‘let brotherly love continue. do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.’ hebrews 13:1-2 (esv)

so in a nutshell - i had an appointment and decided - to stop at a well known - establishment after for a drink - it was very crowded - at the drive through as i pulled in - noticing one car was waiting - just outside the line - no one was letting her in - as i watched, 4 cars went right by - and i was astonished let alone - annoyed by this behavior - of my fellow humans - when i approached - i waved her in - in front of me then

when i got to the window - and went to pay - the gentleman said - ‘no worries, the car in front of you - has paid for your order - how cool is that?’ - indeed - ‘really?’ i asked - ‘yes’

i am telling you all - that one act of kindness - has restored my faith in humanity - sure, one good turn deserves another - but she didn’t have to - do anything at all - could’ve done nothing - instead chose to say thank you - to me because i didn’t let her - keep sitting there in the parking lot - while others ignored her - there is hope yet - and that makes this...
