Necropolis
After the sunshine of yesterday, this morning dawned cold and grey with flurries of sleet. Just the day for a stroll round the Necropolis then. It really is very impressive, redolent with the wealth and probity of Glasgow's great and good of the 19th century. One of the most impressive cemeteries in Europe, the octagonal Mausoleum of Major Archibald Douglas Monteath is very striking. This is looking south across the city - not sure what the cloud factory is, maybe someone can enlighten me, but it did provide a nice focal point, as did the dog walker. Although she was dressed more like a runner. Hope you've all had a great weekend : )
