Kerala Backwaters

A must to-do when being in this region of India. It‘s about renting a houseboat and have a trip for 1 day or more. The houseboats are fully equipped, with accomodation from 2 people to larger groups and everything is being taken care. We had a 1 bedroom boat with a very nice crew of 3 men. Two steering the boat and 1 cook, although they heloed each other in the tasks. Was an amazing experience to cruise the canals and to see a lot of agriculture, villages, houses, animals, etc.  What we didn‘t realize before the trip, is that the water level of the canals is higher than all the farmland around and that the dams were all built by men.
