snow day

Here is a Dark-eyed Junco taking cover on our back porch. Out in the open we have gotten 6 inches so far. But what truly makes it a snow day, i.e. a day to stay at home, is that the roads are a sheet of ice under the fresh powder.
I'm so glad I didn't have much planned for today anyway, and can give myself permission to start a new jigsaw puzzle!
