Kafir Lily

Daylight forget to to put in an appearance today  .....  it's been dull, damp and very, very dreich ALL day :-((

I ventured out into the back garden this morning to search among the tough green leaves of my large hellebore for any signs of new buds. There are quite a few but they are so well protected that taking a photo, in the rain, was not worth the effort.

I didn't even realise that my Kafir Lily was still in flower so with a burst of fill in flash here it is. The plant is hidden behind a fairly large pieris so not visible from the kitchen window.

My gardener came this afternoon, in the rain, to 'sook' up the fallen leaves that had been accumulating for many weeks .... garden looks really tidy now :-))
