Birthday celebrations

My husband's birthday is next Wednesday but his parents and brother's family visited us today so we celebrated him already today and made breakfast in bed. Rest of the family went skiing and I made a short geocaching walk with Sami and a friend to a small island in Pyhäjärvi called Kukkosaari = Rooster Island. The landscape was so grey that it felt like world would have turned into black and white colors only. Some orange was seen around a hole in ice. There is a pump that keeps ice hole open so that people can go swimming. There is not even sauna there so local winter swimmers are really brave.

We had a lovely evening with our guests and Sami was happy to play with his charming cousin dog Tessu.
