Delivery Day
I've been helping my friend G build these aquarium stands for the Bellingham School District Salmon in the Schools program. G did the design and most of the work -- he's a very talented professional woodworker.
Today we delivered the stands to schools not already participating in the program -- see extras.
As part of their study, students will hatch salmon eggs and raise the salmon fry until they are ready to be released into a creek. The fry will begin their long journey out into the ocean, and a small fraction will survive the many hazards to return and spawn.
It's a very popular program, and release day is an exciting time.
