Dodging the Showers
I had my first physio session this morning for my shoulder and Kate kindly came and picked me up, took me and waited for me. Judit my physiotherapist just went through what surgery had been done, and what exercises I was given, and gave me more to do and I'll see her in a weeks' time.
Kate and I then went to Asda as I wanted to get a couple of cheap loose fitting shirts as that's all I can wear at the moment and I found some brushed cotton ones that are nice and warm. We then drove into town as we wanted to go and see the Royal Pavilion now that it's dressed for Christmas. As we walked from the car park the sun came out briefly and I stopped to get some photos when this cyclist suddenly road past. Unfortunately my camera was still on the 'Impressive Art' mode from the other day, and whilst I like the effect, I didn't have time to switch it to programme and by the time I had the cyclist had already gone past.
We went to the Ice Rink in the hope of getting some nice reflections on the ice, but in the few minutes it took to walk there the blue sky had gone again! We went inside the Royal Pavilion which was extremely quiet, and whilst we've both been in there many times it's always lovely to see, particularly at this time of year - there's Christmas trees in every room, and although photographs aren't allowed anywhere with the Pavilion, there's one room with a Christmas sleigh where you can have photos taken. We didn't sit in the sleigh but did take some photos which I've added to my extras, as well a few cheeky shots of Christmas trees that I shouldn't have taken ;-)
By the time we came out, the rain was torrential so we called it a day in town, although we stopped off at Decathlon as I wanted to get a zip up fleecy top as an alternate to my shirts - good for lounging around in.
Kate dropped me back at home about 2.30pm and I haven't moved off the sofa since, I've really enjoyed my trip out, but I've been tired all afternoon - it was worth it though. Thanks again Kate!
