Odin

I went into Oswestry to do some shopping this morning on yet another wet and grey day.

This is a sculpture of the Norse god Odin, another of the many sculptures around the town by local sculptorJas Davidson.  The reason that Odin appears on a wall in a town on the Welsh border is that it was commisioned by Wednesdays Cafe. Wednesday or Woden's Day was named after Woden, the Old English spelling of the god.
