Today's the day . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . to brighten up

A lovely bright - but cold - day today in Moniaive.  And these are my favourite trees on the hill that climbs out of the village towards Tynron, still looking quite autumnal even though winter is just round the corner.

An update on yesterday's blip about the Galapagos' Barrel Post after speaking to my brother Ron, who was one of the party who was there.  You do indeed post your postcard into a barrel on one of the islands.  Travellers, who pass by, take the post if they think they can deliver it when they return home.  This is the way it has been done for centuries - and it obviously works.

Our postcard came via someone who lives in Chester - and who forwarded it on from there . . . . . . .
