Red Berries

Red Berries in Winter

We were out for a walk today and we came across this colourful bush. It was a grey, gloomy, dank, and damp day. This was the only real bit of colour to be seen. The fields are saturated with water again and are like quagmires. The berries were perhaps a sign of Spring to come. However, it is forecast snow, ice and freezing temperatures down to -10 next week.....brrrrr. So - suggest the birds stock up on the berries !
