Great finish to dinner
We went out with some friends of a friend last night. We were supposed to go out as a group of six, but unfortunately my friend was unwell and couldn't make it, so just the four of us went. They head for home on Monday and the couple P and A had loved the Chinese restaurant that we go to and wanted to go again. It did not let us down. The chef manager told us that he had created a new dessert, lemon sorbet made using fresh lemons as apposed to lemon syrup. It was very refreshing, the sharpness of lemon was eased with the addition of strawberries and slices of grape. The asian golden gooseberry was also tart. The smoke, created with dry ice, just adds a bit of theater. Our new friends were impressed. We had a lovely evening. Unfortunately with four people at the table getting a clear shot was not that easy.
