Cold War No More

Today we joined our first ever blipmeet. We went to the disused airbase at Upper Heyford, able to get in through the security barriers with many thanks to Fiona50. It was an amazing place, slowly decaying but with lots of details from the past so obviously there. Heaven for those who like photographing rust and peeling paint.

We only found out it was happening at the last minute. We're lucky to have such good-natured friends as Annie phoned the family we were due to visit and put them off until later in the afternoon. They said they'd try not to be offended that we were ditching them in favour of a disused airfield. Sorry guys, but it was a lovely evening with you, thanks. :)
