Waxeye on Feijoa
My feijoa tree is bursting with flowers right now and there have been a few waxeyes coming to visit, and feed. They're such an endearing wee bird.
They're also known as silvereyes, or tauhou.
The silvereye colonised New Zealand from Australia in the 1850s andis now one of New Zealand's most abundant and widespread bird species.
