Thanksgiving 2019

Phew!  Just under the wire for posting on time.

A hectic day spent cooking, cleaning, and cooking some more in preparation for our Thanksgiving feast this evening!  We had good friends Nancy and Art and Kathy and David over to share the calories with us -- and we are so thankful for their presence in our lives!

Here is everyone (minus the photographer) tucking in to a scrumptious dessert of pumpkin pie and/or tarte tatin made by Nancy who is seated to the left of Mr. W in the picture.  Kathy (to the right of the aforementioned Mr. W) brought an absolutely delicious appetizer to the party.  Nancy's husband Art is seated next to her, and Kathy's husband David is next to her.  (I am behind the camera!)

For the record, the rest of the menu consisted of:  Lobster bisque, Roast Turkey with gravy, oven-roasted brussels sprouts, butternut squash, red onions, and pomegranate seeds, scalloped potatoes, pureed acorn squash and fennel, green beans gremolata, and Mr. W's favourite turkey stuffing.  None of us will need to eat for a week!
