Thankful

On this day of thankfulness, I was reminded of God’s faithfulness. As my day started with wonderful friends visiting who we have known since before we moved overseas, my phone pinged several times with kind greetings from my British friends. I shed a few tears as I remembered the promise God gave me over seventeen years ago, “‘Truly I tell you,’ Jesus replied, ‘no-one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields – along with persecutions – and in the age to come eternal life.”

God has kept that promise many times over through friends traveling from Germany to spend Thanksgiving with us to our church family here in England to other friends far away. We are so grateful to God.
