Launch Pad!
The beautiful little female Fairy Wren sat on top of this Banksia flower for long enough for me to fire off quite a few shots of it. This one was my favourite as it make itself ready to launch off into the wild blue yonder.
I know I have posted many images of these lovely little birds but honestly there will come a day when they will head off to another part of the world, so I’m going to enjoy them while I can. I have added another in extras - one titled “Contemplation” :)
I’ve achieved a lot today. I headed off early and walked out to Hargraves Lookout. It’s not that far distance wise but coming home you have to walk up an incredibly steep hill. I was pleased that I could get to the top today without too much trouble. I then set about preparing Mini Mo for its first outing in many many months. I’m heading to the South Coast with two very good friends for three nights in a couple of days and I’m looking forward to it. I’m hoping to get some master classes from Sue while we’re away. It will be my first holiday without my darling CCN in 17 years so it will seem very strange, but I think the time away will do me the world of good.
