Pit Wheel Bolts

A really frustrating drive back home last night - took 70 minutes instead of the usual 30-35. Road closed because of an accident and alternative routes were clogged with traffic (even at 7 p.m.). It was payback for the easy morning run!

Anyway - back on duty again today. Very cold and icy - but at least the sun was shining in a bright blue sky.

Out for a walk again with the baby and dogs and on the way back up t’hill into t’village I stopped to photograph a piece of the winding wheel from Barnburgh Colliery. I have blipped a larger view of it before, but sometime in the past 5 and a half years it has been painted black. The paint is now beginning to peel revealing the green paint underneath. I quite liked the textures picked out in the sunlight. Looks much better in LARGE

Blip sorted, baby in the cot, time for a grandad nap.
