Andrew and Nikki and Esme came for lunch and for me to try and get some festive photos of Esme.

Since her birthday cake smash photo shoot went well, I was hopeful of a good outcome.  Unfortunately tiredness, hunger and a horrible cold are not really conducive to numerous outfit changes and sitting still and smiling for the camera.  Poor Esme.  

Nikki wanted to power on, but screaming Elf shots were not really what I had in mind.  We stopped for lunch and after her cheese and avocado toastie, Esme was much cheerier, but sadly still not keen on posing.  Maybe we should have made this a Christmas cake smash :-)

After much cajoling and bribing and distracting by us, I managed to get enough shots to please mum and dad.

Sadly when editing the photos I was cursing my decision not to iron the backdrop and use the quilt filling as snow (I was afraid Lola would eat it!)  

Oh well. Every day's a school day.
