Sculpture in the 21st century
It’s rare to go to an exhibition outwith Glasgow or Edinburgh that shows innovative approach to making art.
Well Alice Martin’s first solo exhibition, CTRL C, opening this evening at the Tollbooth in Stirling uses cutting edge technology to say something new about the world we inhabit.
She downloads three D image files of sculptures from major museums then manipulates them to create a new meaning and finally sends the file off to France to be printed in 3D.
Alice, a graduate of Grays School of Art, recently finished her MLitt in Archaeological Studies at the university of the Highlands and Islands.
Exhibition runs Tuesday-Saturday until 10 December
