Very fun activity, the automatic pitching machines have become very sophisticated; fast ball, curve ball, slider, drop curve, setting pitch location and speeds from 40 miles an hour to 90 miles an hour - and with the machine only 46 feet away, the pitches seem even faster. When facing live pitching, the ball will seem to slow down significantly and it improves one's ability to pick up the rotation of the ball.
