I met Morgan and Miranda on their narrowboat as I was having a frosty morning mooch. What a lovely young couple.

They bought the boat a few months ago with no knowledge of canal boating skills. The engine won't start and the electrics are playing up but they were so happy and positive. They have a log stove burning to keep them warm. And each other.

For generation rent this is one of the few ways they can get their own home. 

I left them delving into the engine room with a generator to try and get it going. I wish them all good luck.
