First early start in a while for my first flight since very early July. It was a pretty short hop to Southampton (and for once Fly Maybe were on time), where I picked up the hire car and made my way to the vicinity of where we were meeting, and then stopped for a coffee and lovely iced bun to make up for the early start.

At 11, we met at JH's house, and got on with finding out more about what's involved in editing the journal, stopping only for some Japanese food at lunchtime. We were all finished soon after 3pm, so AW and I decided that rather than hanging around and having dinner in town, we would head off to our "country" hotel (well, hotel in a small town in the New Forest) and have dinner (and drinks) there. That meant that it was quite heavy traffic, ut no major problems. We were ensconced in the bar of the Crown Manor House Hotel by soon after 5pm! And more or less stayed there, apart from tripping backwards and forwards to the restaurant, all evening. A much needed catch up after many years!
